			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>While skimming the Airliners.net message boards today I found a <a href="http://www.airliners.net/discussions/general_aviation/read.main/3075722/" title="Airliners.net">thread</a> with a wonderful <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ap_nyRzEOMI" title="YouTube">video</a> of a South African Airways Boeing 747SP <a href="http://www.flightglobal.com/Articles/2006/11/01/Navigation/177/210352/Video+Final+South+African+Airways+Boeing+747SP+captured+landing+at+Rand+airport+on+15m+wide.html" title="Flight Global">landing</a> at a very small airport outside Johannesburg, South Africa. The aircraft is to be used as a static exibit at a museum there. As you watch the <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ap_nyRzEOMI" title="YouTube">video</a>, keep in mind that the runway is about 50 feet wide, and the landing gear width on the 747SP is about 36 feet. </p>
<p>A 747-200 also landed at the airport prior to the 747SP, and you can see pictures of that as well as a narrative by the pilot <a href="http://www.skypark.org/747Landing.htm" title="Skypark">here</a>.</p>
